Hello,

We’ve installed DRBD 9.0.12 from source on three fresh Debian machines. Our first try was to configure all three nodes as primary nodes. It was working! All three nodes are in role Primary and UpToDate. Also multidirectional data synchronization was working.

After we rebooted one machine to simulate a node failure we weren’t able to recover the previous state. The rebooted node won’t reconnect to the other nodes until we issue a drbdadm down <resource> and drbdadm up <resource> on one of the survivor node.

But in a production situation we can’t down a resource on one of the both survivors.

Our second try was to configure a dual primary plus one secondary setup. But the problem is still the same.

Is it supported and/or possible to have a primary/primary/primary or a primary/primary/secondary setup with DRBD 9.0.12?

Thanks for your help!
