As Florian sais, drbd use protocol C.<br><br>we need more info about the protect :) What machines are you going to use? what OS?.<br><br>Compile programs as drbd usually is not a good idea is better use good knows compilations for every operating system.<br>

requires synchronous replication by definition), so your original plan<br>
of using protocol A or B is out.<br>

Why do you need to compile though? I thought UEK2 shipped with DRBD.<br>
