<br><font size=2 face="sans-serif">We had a very similar issue under SLES
11 SP1 with the LVM RA timing out under IO-load. A vgscan took more than
35 seconds unterh that condition instead of the usual 0.04.</font>
<br><font size=2 face="sans-serif">It is fixed with the newest released
packages from Novell, when the filter of LVM only looks for /dev/drbd*.
During debugging the problem we also were advised that it makes no sense
at all to monitor a volume group once it started successfully.</font>
<br><font size=2 face="sans-serif">We do not use LVM as backing device
for DRBD any more, so this scenario has not been tested.</font>
