Gbps NICs do NOT need crossover cables to be connected back-to-back
since they use <a
href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Auto-MDIX#Auto-MDIX">Auto-MDIX
(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Auto-MDIX#Auto-MDIX</a>)<br>

Use straight Cat5e or Cat6 Ethernet cables and let the standards do
the job for you.<br>

This should work like a charm (at least the network/routing/ping
thing)<br>

We have this running with balance-rr. What is important, is to change tcp-
reordering, otherwise one gets poor performance. Gigabit does not need
crossover by the way, maybe that's where things go wrong ...
