<div>We have a problematic cluster running Openfiler OS that has DRBD:-</div><div><div><br></div><div>version: 8.0.0 (api:86/proto:86)</div><div>SVN Revision: 2713 build by <a href="mailto:buildof@ppaten64.openfiler.com">buildof@ppaten64.openfiler.com</a>, 2007-02-26 04:47:34</div>
</div><div><br></div><div>Resources are configured with meta-disk internal;</div><div><br></div><div>It's about 500GB, i'd like to move this to a new DRBD node on plain CentOS 5. The DRBD package in our CentOS repo is version 8.0.13-1.el5.centos.</div>
<div><br></div><div>I'm thinking of taking down the secondary, and replacing it with one of the new nodes and doing a full re-sync. After which i'll fail it over and make the new node Primary, and eventually StandAlone. The new node is backed by a SAN so i'll have more options in snapshotting the data and migrating it elsewhere, I won't be concerned about not having a Secondary as the redundancy is in the SAN. I'll be doing the head node redundancy soon after with pacemaker.</div>
<div><br></div><div>Will there be any issues with replicating from a 8.0.0 primary to a 8.0.13 secondary? If so, anyone know where I can grab the correct version 8.0.0 from for CentOS 5 x86_64?</div><div>Anybody got any idea on the sort of time a full re-sync would take for ~500GB on a gig crossover reading from a RAID5 6 DISK 10K array? What sort of sync rate could I set for it?</div>
<div><br></div><div>Thanks,</div><div><br></div><div>Matt</div>
