<html><body style="word-wrap: break-word; -webkit-nbsp-mode: space; -webkit-line-break: after-white-space; "><div>Hi,</div><div><br></div><div>I am having problems where the target host and the source host seem to loose connectivity just as the sync start. I have tried disconnecting, reconnecting, adjusting etc but everytime i get the same result. The only thing i have not tried is taking the source off-line as it is currently serving data and was replicating to another host before i did an adjust to re-point it here.</div><div><br></div><div>Any ideas welcome.</div><div><br></div><div>Regards</div><div><br></div><div>Mark</div><div><br></div><div>dmesg output </div><div>target host</div><div>[ 3959.434580] drbd2: conn( StandAlone -> Unconnected ) </div><div>[ 3959.434609] drbd2: Starting receiver thread (from drbd2_worker [5211])</div><div>[ 3959.434648] drbd2: receiver (re)started</div><div>[ 3959.434656] drbd2: conn( Unconnected -> WFConnection ) </div><div>[ 3959.534065] drbd2: Handshake successful: Agreed network protocol version 89</div><div>[ 3959.534073] drbd2: conn( WFConnection -> WFReportParams ) </div><div>[ 3959.534083] drbd2: Starting asender thread (from drbd2_receiver [5415])</div><div>[ 3959.534150] drbd2: data-integrity-alg: <not-used></div><div>[ 3959.534201] drbd2: drbd_sync_handshake:</div><div>[ 3959.534206] drbd2: self CBDD0FEEDFAD52E0:0000000000000000:0000000000000000:0000000000000000 bits:10486090 flags:0</div><div>[ 3959.534211] drbd2: peer 6E053BF605FF71DD:CBDD0FEEDFAD52E1:BDFC8341C0F17CAC:7A0ECA93E9484385 bits:10486090 flags:0</div><div>[ 3959.534215] drbd2: uuid_compare()=-1 by rule 5</div><div>[ 3959.534218] drbd2: Becoming sync target due to disk states.</div><div>[ 3959.535018] drbd2: peer( Unknown -> Primary ) conn( WFReportParams -> WFBitMapT ) pdsk( DUnknown -> UpToDate ) </div><div>[ 3959.556512] drbd2: conn( WFBitMapT -> WFSyncUUID ) </div><div>[ 3959.564259] drbd2: helper command: /sbin/drbdadm before-resync-target minor-2</div><div>[ 3959.566955] drbd2: helper command: /sbin/drbdadm before-resync-target minor-2 exit code 127 (0x7f00)</div><div>[ 3959.566962] drbd2: before-resync-target handler returned 127, dropping connection.</div><div>[ 3959.566966] drbd2: peer( Primary -> Unknown ) conn( WFSyncUUID -> Disconnecting ) pdsk( UpToDate -> DUnknown ) </div><div>[ 3959.566991] drbd2: asender terminated</div><div>[ 3959.566996] drbd2: Terminating asender thread</div><div>[ 3959.567089] drbd2: Connection closed</div><div>[ 3959.567096] drbd2: conn( Disconnecting -> StandAlone ) </div><div>[ 3959.567113] drbd2: receiver terminated</div><div>[ 3959.567116] drbd2: Terminating receiver thread</div><div><br></div><div>sync host</div><div><div>drbd2: Restarting receiver thread</div><div>drbd2: receiver (re)started</div><div>drbd2: conn( Unconnected -> WFConnection ) </div><div>drbd1: peer_isp( 1 -> 0 ) </div><div>drbd3: aftr_isp( 1 -> 0 ) </div><div>drbd2: Handshake successful: Agreed network protocol version 89</div><div>drbd2: conn( WFConnection -> WFReportParams ) </div><div>drbd2: Starting asender thread (from drbd2_receiver [12413])</div><div>drbd2: data-integrity-alg: <not-used></div><div>drbd2: drbd_sync_handshake:</div><div>drbd2: self 6E053BF605FF71DD:CBDD0FEEDFAD52E1:BDFC8341C0F17CAC:7A0ECA93E9484385</div><div>drbd2: peer CBDD0FEEDFAD52E0:0000000000000000:0000000000000000:0000000000000000</div><div>drbd2: uuid_compare()=1 by rule 7</div><div>drbd2: Becoming sync source due to disk states.</div><div>drbd2: peer( Unknown -> Secondary ) conn( WFReportParams -> WFBitMapS ) </div><div>drbd2: conn( WFBitMapS -> SyncSource ) </div><div>drbd0: aftr_isp( 0 -> 1 ) </div><div>drbd1: aftr_isp( 0 -> 1 ) </div><div>drbd3: aftr_isp( 0 -> 1 ) </div><div>drbd2: Began resync as SyncSource (will sync 41944360 KB [10486090 bits set]).</div><div>drbd1: peer_isp( 0 -> 1 ) </div><div>drbd2: meta connection shut down by peer.</div><div>drbd2: peer( Secondary -> Unknown ) conn( SyncSource -> NetworkFailure ) </div><div>drbd2: asender terminated</div><div>drbd2: Terminating asender thread</div><div>drbd0: aftr_isp( 1 -> 0 ) </div><div>drbd1: aftr_isp( 1 -> 0 ) </div><div>drbd2: sock was shut down by peer</div><div>drbd2: short read expecting header on sock: r=0</div><div>drbd2: Connection closed</div><div>drbd2: conn( NetworkFailure -> Unconnected ) </div><div>drbd2: receiver terminated</div><div><br></div><div><br></div><div><br></div><div><br></div></div><div apple-content-edited="true"> <span class="Apple-style-span" style="border-collapse: separate;
