Can MySQL replication be used together with heartbeat? Any good tutorials on this topic?

Thanks

On Fri, Jun 5, 2009 at 6:31 AM, Martin Gombac <martin@isg.si> wrote:
Assuming I want to use DRBD with MySQL (together with heartbeat) in a two server configuration, do both servers have to be exactly the same?

I'm thinking of setting up a home system with one powerful server (active) and a lesser server (passive) to be used only upon emergencies. I know this is far from ideal, but its cheaper and wanted to know if it can be done or if it would be a pain to setup (I'm not a huge techie so don't want to deal with too many setup complications)
Thanks,
