<br />In my case it was the just extra push I needed to help us move into the CentOS 5 realm. But this actually answered a long-standing question we have had with certain USB modems. I have been going back and forth with their developers for months with a udev issue very similar to this, and I now suspect it may be the very same issue happening with the rules.
