The first time I tried to connect 8.3 to the old data, I got a protocol mismatch error with versions of the protocol which did not overlap. I went down to 8.2.7. I no longer got the protocol error log entry, but the primary went from WFConnection to Standalone almost immediately. I then downgraded the new machine to 8.0.1 with the same results. <BR>
If it matters, the 0.7.22 machine has not been connected since it started. <BR>
