Hi,

I was wondering what is the overhead of DRBD on the DRBD slave in write intensive system ?

We are thinking about doing with two databases a
Active-Passive cluster of two nodes in cross-breeding fashion.

So one database will be active in 1 machine and the other
machine will be the DRBD slave and the second database will be Active on the
first database DRBD slave machine and the first database machine will be the
DRBD slave of the second database.

This way we thought to benefit from two fully active machines
resources.

Is anyone implemented such architecture ? It is recommended
? What would be the DRBD overhead in such a case ?

Would it be better to have two databases on 1 machine and
the other machine fully DRBD slave only ?

BTW, the two databases will use mostly InnoDB tables with
small amount of MyISAM tables, which are the most writes intensive.

Thanks,
