Snapshots have never been well integrated in Proxmox. That was because
the different concepts of "snapshot restore" never really matched.
Historically, DM/LINSTOR restored a snapshot to a new resource. So the
best we could do was allowing to take a snapshot, but then tell the user
that she/he would need manual intervention to get old data out of the
snapshot. That was "as usable as it gets" for a long time.

Yes. Now, with LINSTOR, we have in place restore of the last snapshot.
This is on the roadmap. I will update what will happen for the Proxmox
Plugin on github as milestones soon.
