Eric,

What file system are you formatting your partitions in? ext3 has a 2TB
limitation without using GPT labels. Are you using ext3?

Any idea why df -h reports that my filesystem mounted on /dev/drbd0 is
only 2.5TB?  The actual backing device is a 3.5TB LV created on a 3.6TB
RAID 0 device, /dev/md3. 

I have drbd 8.0.16 running on CentOS 5.4, 32-bit. The physical drives
are 2TB SATA.
