did you find out the real reason?
I'm running ggaoed ontop of lvm ontop of drbd just fine with a lot of servers.

I get around 50-80 MB/sec with »hdparm -t« from all (6 right now) servers. I know it's not a real speed test but though.

What aoe target did you use?
