direct links of old sources may well be a few messages off.

Hi Lars,

Pardon. I am actually subscribed, but I used the wrong e-mail address.
I appreciate that you help us here; my first drbd 0.7.x install in Dec
2004 (also from source) has been running since then without faltering -
good product! :-)
I got a bit rusted.

I read the documents on the website and also noticed the userland and
kernel packages etc. That's why I decided to do an install from source.
But, thanx for the patience. I eventually got it working.

I got drbd-8.3.0.tar.gz installed from source on SLES 10 SP2 on one
system without a problem. It is running, and drbd0 mounted. Thanx for the help!

QUESTION:
I have noticed that copying 4GB Files from one directory on the mounted /dev/drbd0 (as /Data) to another directory on the same device is very slow; 4 MB/Sec (60 GB takes about 4 Hrs).
I have also noticed with DRBD running, that SLES 10 SP2 sometimes freezes for up to one minute when entering commands in the CLI Terminal. Is it a known issue?

TIA

:-)
Al
