I tried to install drbd 8.2.3 on two nodes.
As per documentation for the first sync between two drbd nodes, I followed below steps.
1) Prepared drbd rpm and installed on node1 and node2
2) executed "drbdadm create-md drbd0" command on node1 and node2
3)executed "drbdadm attach drbd0" command on node1 and node2
4)executed "drbdadm connect resource" command on node1 and node2
But after step4 in the documentation it was said that drbd status should be like
cs:Connected st:Secondary/Secondary ds:Inconsistent/Inconsistent
But my nodes are showing as
On node 2 :-
cs:SyncSource st:Secondary/Secondary ds:UpToDate/Inconsistent
On node 1 :-
cs:SyncTarget st:Secondary/Secondary ds:Inconsistent/UpToDate
As you see ds state is expected to be Inconsistent but it was showing as UpToDate on node2. But on the other node ds is fine as Inconsistent.
As at this step one node ds is UptoDate/Inconsistent, sync process is started before giving the command.
"drbdadm -- --overwrite-data-of-peer primarydrbd0"
Please help to figure out this issue.
