We've been running DRBD v8 since the opensuse 10.3 early betas.
and in production since the day it shipped.

It's been stable in our enterprise environment, no issues at all (knock on
wood)

And I have to say, I prefer the v8 setup to the v0.7 one. v8 is just easier
to get started, less steps, more straight-forward.

It took me about 5 minutes to get used to the changes from v0.7 to v8

eg no more "--do-what-I-say"

I'm currently lab-testing opensuse 11, let's just say so far it's been very
interesting :)
