I found a soluton to do that:


Dump the metadata:

drbdmeta /dev/drbd4 v08 /dev/sda4 internal dump-md

Import the metadata:

drbdmeta /dev/drbd4 v08 /dev/sda3 4 restore-md r4.dump


An change the config file.

Is there a solution to move the metadata of a drbd resource from internal to external metadata without loosing the data on the device?
Can I savely export the metadata, change the config file to external (block device) and import?
