probably just a bug in drbdmeta.
you could try to use the "unfinished rewrite" of drbdmeta,
in user/ subdir of the drbd svn checkout.

may I ask what kind of appliance you are trying to build?

I have tried this:

drbdmeta_unfinished_rewrite /dev/drbd0 v08 /dev/sda5 interval create-md

but I have this:

v08 Magic number not found

pread in check_internal_md_flavours failed: Invalid argument

Do you have any suggestions?
