this has nothing to do with xfs.

for housekeeping (meta data update), we had a recursive, synchronous,
call to generic_make_request in the generic_make_request path.
with 2.6.22 and later kernels, this will deadlock :->

btw, drbd versioning has dropped the leading zero,
staring with 8.0.0

go back to pre 2.6.22 kernel,
or use current drbd svn: svn co http://svn.drbd.org/drbd/branches/drbd-8.0
or wait for 8.0.6 which will include this fix.
