This means:

In case the DLM of your OCFS2/GFS fails, the your data is corrupt 
and DRBD does not know that it's mirrors are out of sync:
I.e. you would need to start a full sync manually, after you 
repaired the file system and got the DLM to work again.

If the conflict detection would work it would be:

In case the DLM of your OCFS2/GFS fails, DRBD would tell you that fact.
You data is probably corrupt. No resync needed. After you repaired
your file system everything is fine again.
