I'm pretty sure that 2115 works, too.
I mean: sched.h:6: invalid suffix on integer constant ...
is as bogus as a kernel build error message can get, no?
which makes me think there is something heavily screwed up on that box.

Ok. I don't have RH nor fedora here.
What I did was download the kernel-source.rpm and then kernel.src.rpm,
and look at the content and spec file. In the kernel.src.rpm, there are
loads of kernel-<version>-<flavor>.config files, so I thought this is
some "standard" there.

the difference is: oldconfig is interactive,
oldconfig_nonint is non-interactive, thus the name.
again, only copied from the spec file.

I think basically the same as
 yes "" | make oldconfig
